No. We're a small, family-run program and every puppy is born and raised inside our home. They're handled every day and grow up with the normal sounds of a busy household, not in a barn or kennel building.

Doodle's Kennel is run by our family in Cypress, and Tiffany is the person most families work with from first call to homecoming. We stay in touch long after your puppy goes home.

The Australian Labradoodle is a multi-generational breed developed from the Labrador Retriever, Poodle and Cocker Spaniel. It was created to be an affectionate, intelligent and allergy-friendly companion with a consistent coat and temperament.
A standard Labradoodle is usually a first-generation Labrador and Poodle cross. The Australian Labradoodle adds Cocker Spaniel and is bred over many generations, which makes coat, size and temperament more predictable.
The F number shows how many generations of doodle breeding a puppy carries. F1 is a 50/50 Labrador and Poodle cross, F2B is a backcross with more Poodle influence, and F3B is third-generation or higher. Learn more on our Labradoodles 101 page.
Every Doodle's Kennel litter is F3B or higher. Multi-generational breeding is what gives our puppies reliably soft, low-shedding coats and gentle temperaments.
Our multi-generational Australian Labradoodles have fleece or wool coats that are low- to non-shedding and allergy-friendly. Many people with dog allergies do very well with them. Every person's allergies are different, so if yours are severe we recommend spending time with our dogs before committing.
Our multi-generational puppies are bred for low- to non-shedding coats. Instead of shedding, the coat keeps growing and needs regular brushing and grooming.

Most Australian Labradoodles get along well with other pets when introduced calmly. One of our families shared that their Oliver gets along with their cats and has been a lap dog from day one.

We offer Mini, Medium and Standard Australian Labradoodles. Minis are about 15–30 lbs and 14–17 inches tall, and Standards are about 45–65 lbs and 21–24 inches tall. Mediums fall in between.
A Mini is usually the best fit for apartments and smaller homes. Minis are also easy to travel with and have all the same personality as the larger sizes.
Standards are wonderful for active families, big yards and children. They're sturdy, playful and endlessly loyal.
Australian Labradoodles come in fleece and wool coats. Both are soft, low- to non-shedding and allergy-friendly. Fleece has a looser wave, while wool is denser with tighter curls.

Adult size depends on the parents and whether the puppy is a Mini, Medium or Standard. We'll give you an estimated adult size for each puppy based on its parents.
Plan on brushing a few times a week and a professional groom about every 6 to 8 weeks. Regular brushing prevents mats, especially behind the ears and under the legs.
A Medium usually falls between our Minis and Standards, roughly 30–45 lbs as an adult. It's a great choice if you want a dog that can keep up on a hike but still fits easily in your home and car.
It can. Many Labradoodle colors, especially chocolate, caramel and red, lighten somewhat as the adult coat comes in. We'll tell you what to expect based on your puppy's parents.

Like many breeds, Labradoodles can be prone to ear infections because of their floppy, hairy ears, so check and clean them weekly. Hips, elbows, eyes and skin are other areas your vet will monitor. Health testing every parent helps reduce genetic risk.

Puppies go home at 8 weeks old, once they're vet-checked and ready.
Bring a collar and leash, a towel, and a crate or a helper to hold the puppy on the ride home. Everything else, including your starter pack and littermate-scented blanket, we'll have ready.
You'll want a crate, food and water bowls, the same food your puppy is eating now, soft chews, a brush and comb, puppy pads and an enzyme cleaner. A playpen or baby gates help too.
Keep the first night calm. Put the crate near your bed, give the puppy the littermate-scented blanket and take it out to potty right before bed and during the night.
